After the collapse of the Soviet Union (USSR), Russia was alone, defeated and humiliated, the leaders at that time (Yeltsin) has to accept the NATO expansion, corruptions during sales of natural resources to Oligarcs (Berezovsky, Khodorksky, etc.).. But history always makes turns and suddenly changes, now Russia is back like a FENIX and it’s in control of the biggest reserves of Gas, Oil and Coil of EUROASIA.

Russia is the KING of Natural GAS (reserves of 47 trillions of cubic meters) 27% of world gas reserves; it is the second Oil producer after Saudi Arabia with a production of 9.5 millions of barrels a day (oil reserves between 150 and 200 billions of barrels).

Since Vladimir Putin came to power he saw the ENERGETIC as a perfect tool on today world to recover all that was stolen by Oligarcs and give back Russia the SUPERPOWER status, the most important case was YUKOS of Jodorkovsky that was making frauds (tax) to the State and was planning to sell the whole company to US firms.

THE NEW 7 SISTERS

The “new seven sisters”, or the most influential energy companies from countries outside the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development OCDE, have been identified by the Financial Times Newspaper.

They are Saudi Aramco, Russia’s Gazprom, CNPC of China, NIOC of Iran, Venezuela’s PDVSA, Brazil’s Petrobras and Petronas of Malaysia.

They control almost one-third of the world’s oil and gas production and more than one-third of its total oil and gas reserves. In contrast, the old seven sisters – which shrank to four in the industry consolidation of the 1990s – produce about 10% of the world’s oil and gas and hold just 3% of reserves.

Even so, their integrated status – which means they sell not only oil and gas, but also gasoline, diesel and petrochemicals – push their revenues notably higher than those of the newcomers. This article also said what happen with PEMEX (Mexico) that lost most of their vertical integration and it’s dying because the Mexican government put lots of taxes on the company.

GAS OPEC

Russia and Iran has been promoting the creation of a new Organization to manage a Gas Cartel with the 5 biggest producers (Russia 25% of Gas reserves, Iran, venezuela, Qatar and Nigeria), even NATO launched a report fearing the creation of that new OPEC, cuz that means Russia can blackmail Europe (Russia supplies them with 24% of Gas).

But the Real fear is that the cartel can start asking for payment with Euros or other hard currency, so the DOLLAR would start loosing more value.
